Having inherited her mother's quiet nature and a drab, muddy-looking coat, the other lionesses are surprised (and a bit jealous) her savage father hasn't killed her like he does any cub that isn't as gorgeous as he is. But Rock Thistle seems to have also inherited her mother's ability to remain untouched by her father's rage, and the other lionesses are afraid to risk his wrath by picking on her.
