Prince Martyn is a spiritually inclined young lion at heart. The spirits speak to him, but they can not choose him to be a spirit king until he is king, which is a major problem for him. Martyn does not want to be a king. He views himself as cursed due to who his father was, despite coming from the original line of kings on his mother's side. Because of what his father did to his mother most of the pride didn't want him as an heir, to begin with, but his kind and patient personality had won everyone over. He didn't act like his father and no one blamed him for his actions. Grheene has mentioned to Martyn, that the older lion is simply a temporary replacement, he is no true king.

Martyn has refused the crown to the Thedas pride and has instead found an heir related to no else within the pride. He named the boy Trevelyan and is currently training him to be the next king in his place.

4/8/18: King Grheene's death was particularly hard on Martyn as he has always felt like he let the older male down. When Martyn permanently refuses the crown, Grheene understands and accepts his decision. After passing Grheene has decided to tie his spirit with Martyn's in order to help him find his place in the circle of life.

4/25/18: Fantasia's passing struck a tough blow to Martyn. She was his mother after his own had died fighting a fiery monster, she was his mentor when he reached adolescence, and she was his council when he became a prince even despite refusing the crown. Fantasia and Grheene were his everything in life, and now that they were both gone, Martyn found it even harder to adjust and find the will to live. Once a deep and connected family was now broken into ruins. Fantasia II refused to be Trevelyan's queen, Ozara has regressed and secluded herself, becoming more violent with each passing day, Ozarka, not even a full-grown adult, trying her best to keep her family together, but coming off as a needy and incessant child. The Lannisters were no longer a family to be feared.
