Biography
Delilah was named by Alma for a very special rescued Blue-Cream Point Siamese cat that she resembled, and like her namesake, she was highly intelligent, playful, and affectionate. She was one of the "Fab Five" along with her sisters Daphne, Ethel, Letaba, and cousin, Lily. While not large in size, her larger-than-life personality was crucial to the emotional well-being and the overall morale of the Mopanes. Her unique leucistic pigmentation and neonatal markings belied her kitten-like temperament: she was truly one-of-a-kind! Her cubs were always able to entice her to play, and her nieces and nephews were always finding an excuse to visit with her, and hence, she was the official Mopane babysitter when she wasn't hunting. Her light sandy-colored coat aided her when she hunted in her habitat of choice, the desert.

Many of the locals openly wept upon hearing of the news of her passing, as her energy and playful nature endeared her to all.
