The daughter of Yagami, Yakul was guarded during cubhood by Queen Papillion. Part of the respected lineage of the pride, it was all but guaranteed that she'd become an important part of the pride. As a young cub she spent a lot of time running through the forest bordering the territory, getting into mischief. She never told the pride where she went and always came back having discovered something new.

Jaegerjaquez admired her independence and made her his queen. Though still a lioness who holds her knowledge close to herself, she got more involved with the pride in adulthood. She left temporarily to visit King Boombah, one of the most respected kings in the land, and returned with three cubs sired by him. The pride welcomed her back and she was glad to get back to her forest.

King Jaegerjaquez visited his queen but she quickly got up and shuffled around to hide a drawing made with her claws. From where she was sitting between some large rocks in her jungle, she greeted him warmly but with an intent look that confused the king. She ran up to him to say hello then quickly disappeared again.

Queen Yakul's next cub was sired by King Nebulous and blessed with melanism by the Gods of the allied pride. She raised her in her den deep in the jungle, covered in moss and hidden from the rest of the pride. She knew that her daughter was too gentle hearted to enjoy life in the pride and that the other lionesses would probably kill her. Instead of keeping her, Kato was instead raised until weaning and then snuck out of the pride's borders to be handed over to her father.
