Meaning "Perfume." She was named after her favorite flower, the jasmine flower. She was the favorite cub of the pridesisters (besides Haki and Kutawala for obvious reasons), therefore being coddled and fiercely protected. As a result, she herself turned good and cuddly. Due to all the rest of the cubs being killed, except Kutawala and Haki, Ubani was forced to play with them. However, none minded, as Kutawala and Haki turned out to be her best friends. She began to be a bit of a tomboy after being with them so much. As she grew, she turned out to be one of the most talented huntresses the pride ever saw. Lithe, lean, and graceful, Kutawala began to fall in love with her. When she became a full adult, she also gained the attention of Kushinda and his advances. She knew the story of how her mother came to be in the pride, and she violently refused the tyrant's advances, also realizing about Kutawala and Haki's destinies to overthrow Kushinda. With no problem she approved of the plan, and learned battle strategies with the future kings'. As they were trained, she slowly returned Kutawala feelings and began to fall in love. When Kushinda is finally overthrown, she proudly takes her place as queen alongside Kutawala.
Personality wise, Ubani is warm and loving, a compassionate queen who has no problem looking at both sides of a confrontation. Patient and cuddly, she also loves to care for the cubs and help Raza with broodmother status. She is the first queen to break the standards and rules of her role in the monarchy, volunteering as broodmother, helping Poda in the shaman's den, and learning advanced knowledge of both roles. She is also gifted in hunting, either going solo or in a team. She quickly earns the rank of lead huntress, but is also the first queen to hand back to the elderly Asariel until her death. However, although she is loving and kind, she still has her sass and bold streak. Where she can speak sugar coated words and resolve problems, she can also spit venom and dispatch quickly. When Kutawala and Haki are out patrolling, she is the one teaching the cubs battle skills and roughousing with them. She is smart and learns quickly.
