Medicine Woman Marigold

She was never a queen, but she was her King's greatest love. They didn't have long together before Kheelan was killed by his own chosen heir, Suelita. When Suelita claimed the name Kheelan The Second, Marigold's hatred grew. No longer the King's mistress but still very trusted among the courts she was named the Medicine Woman of the Pride. She found her way into the new King's favor, slinking into all affairs and becoming all knowing. Marigold won favor over all other lionesses, even the queens, with her charm and sophistication.

In her cunning old age she planed The False-King's downfall, by sending word to an old friend who resided in a neighboring pride. Her friend had a small fragile cub whom Marigold convinced Kheelan the Second to allow her to raise as her own. The boy was beloved by all the lionesses for his beauty and grace. The pride sisters loved him, he was the true heir the first king had wanted. While the pride was fooled by his looks Marigold trained him in secret to be the new king. The False-King did not fear this sickly cub, what harm could the cub do when the wind could knock him over. The soon to be Cub-King is her cub though not by blood and the False-King should have feared. As time went on the boy grew stronger as Marigold grew weaker but she would see all of her hard work come to fruition. The boy would take revenge for her before her life was over.

The rule of Kheelan The Third was her crowning moment, she had her revenge.

She is proud of his growth and his rule. He is a fair king and he has made the pride rich beyond beliefs. He is as cunning as she was and merciless, too.

She watches over the Cub-King and she whispers guidance when needed. The Cub-King will be joining the heavens soon but the heir is chosen along with his Sister-Queen; Kheelin. The heir Heloise is a cruel young cub and Marigold fears the hatred she has sown into Kheelan and the boy. She hopes the hatred and anger will fade soon.
