Ilanga is the pride's first broodmother and second queen. She joined during Zidlayo's reign and, due to her gentle and introverted nature, was excused from hunting patrols. Instead she spent her time looking after the pride's numerous cubs. She raised many of her fellow pridemembers and, after Queen Zeniba's untimely death, she was appointed queen. Her title was removed after Masizi became king, causing her to become even more timid than before. Ilanga usually hides behind Ita, her apprentice, even though she's one of the most well-liked lionesses in the pride.
[12-1-15] - As you walk up to Ilanga, she hunkers down a little, whispering back a greeting as she stares at you in awe.
