First Lioness ♡
Survived by daughter Chochokpi ♡
You try and sit to have a quiet meal with Blush, but this was a mistake. She mentioned something about itchy testicles and you snorted wildebeest up your nose.

The dark lioness had been walking with her cubs for hours of the early dawn, no food, no water, and no place to call home. Blush lowered her gaze down to the two little ones at her feet. They were walking with their heads low and moping, Ophelia and Kangee, the sad sight made her heart sink. This was no way for a cub to live, they were meant to have fun and play before they met the troubles of the real world, nothing like this... She thought for a moment before an idea rose in her head. With a small giggle she pranced ahead and glanced back at the cubs who lifted their heads up by her action. "What is it mama?" Kangee spoke up as she danced after her and in tow, her sister. "You see, a few miles back did you get a small itch in your noses?" She asked them as she plopped her hanches down onto the ground, as she crossed her eyes looking down at her nose and scrunched it, making a funny face. "No, what was it?" The cubs asked in unison a glimpse of light returning to their eyes as their curiosity began to get the best of them. Blush laughed, her heart lifting slightly at the sight. "Just up wind there is a lone lion. He can't smell us but I can smell him." She said lowering her head to them and began to talk in a whisper. "He probably thinks he is all bad and we are going to change that." She said in a silly mocking tone as she acted like a big male lion to the little ones, they both giggled. Kangee, the more daring of the two seemed all for the idea and smirked as she looked behind her mother and closed her eyes. She took a deep breath and her eyes shot open and she jumped, "I smell him. Lets do it!" She chuckled and jumped around her sister, Ophelia, who seemed a little more hesitant to the situation, "Wont he hurt us mama..?" She asked quietly and looked up at her. Blush shook her head and crouched lower to their level, "Its alright, young one, you will watch and be hidden and its not to hard to run from a male lion. They are all roar, no bite." She said, reassuring the small cub as she jumped to her feet and looked down at them, "Let's get started!" She said with a low chuckle, seeing the light growing in her young images of herself. She quieted as she began to look for a hiding spot for her cubs.
Blush had hidden her cubs where they were told to stay quiet and unseen, she made sure that the lion wouldn't catch scent of them by cleaning them in the water. She placed them in a large tree where she made sure they would be safe. The area was truly beautifully placed. The tree was full and a radiant green leaves and nearby life filled the shore of the rivers currents. Seeing they were in place she peered off into the distance and noticed the outline of a male, the one she smelled earlier, as he walked the savannah. She gave a few calls to be sure to grab his attention and it wasn't long before he started at a slow lope towards the calls. Blush quickly leaped into a thick bush where she did her best to hide her dark body. The male approached with his head high and curious as he looked around for the source of the calls. She waited patiently and listened as he called back and mindlessly moved towards the bush. At the right moment she leaped out with a roar and the male was frozen and mullified. He jumped back into the water only to jump forward out of it not expecting such a surprise. Blush began to laugh uncontrollably and her gaze moved to the angered wet male. She watched him ready to run if needed and soon the male's angry gaze turned into a softer on as he smirked with a small laugh, his gaze glued to the beautiful lioness in front of him. He tensed slightly seeing two small cubs almost roll and fall out of the tree in hysterical tears of laughter. He relaxed as he watched the two little ones hurry to their mothers side who had....begun walking away? Blush turned making a grand exit with a small sway in her walk with her small cubs close in tow. The male had a feeling this wasn't going to be the last time seeing this lioness...

Blush had been in B's pride for quite a while now. All was great until the death of Kangee a few weeks after being accepted. Her death hit her hard, the poor young cub dying of a sickness, but she knew that she had to stay strong for Ophelia. Blush made sure to distract the cub from the sorrow and spent as much time possible with her. Things were beginning to lighten but soon darkness came again with the death of her last cub Ophelia. The images racked her mind, the intruder male coming in and B not making it in time. When the intruder reached her beloved little girl, almost old enough to learn to hunt and to grow. She was torn apart, she wouldn't speak, and B had yet to approach her or comfort her in the days after it's happening, knowing he had some fault in it. It was the heat of the day when he did approach her, she brought hell on earth. She smacked the lion hard against the face before he had time to speak when he approached. Tears streamed down the lioness' cheeks as B took the pain letting her take it out on him and didn't say a word knowing he deserved it. This is why she loved him, he admitted to his wrongs and tried to mend anything that was hurt. He whimpered softly and lowered his head as he moved closer to Blush as her eyes began to flood with tears and she buried herself in his mane. "I am sorry.." He spoke softly to her his deep voice, comforting her, as not another word was spoke as she stayed close as long as she could and he let her and he groomed her gently trying to mend the lioness together with his love.

The years and years had gone by leaving Blush to age as she watched the pride grow. Her body was sore and fragile not much she was able to do anymore to help out anymore. She walked though the group of lions lying around, it was evening and the sun was beginning to set its golden rays kissing the horizon. The pride was quiet and calm as a soft breeze ruffled their fur and cooled them after the high heat of the day. She felt it was time, she didn't know how but something was telling her deep within that it was time to say her goodbyes. She walked between the relaxing lions and in the direction of the three who were already standing, Blaze, Ametrine, and Night, their gazes soft. They knew it was time as well. As she moved towards them her tired mind thought back on their days together. She closed her eyes for a moment but it felt like so much longer as the memories filled her head. When Ametrine snuggled up to her in the cold nights and loved to listen to any story Blush would tell him until he drifted off into an even sleep. When Blaze would hurry to her and ask if she needed any help just so she could hang out with her. Night's steadfast gaze and cool heart, longtime friend, so close she would call her sister.
When she opened her eyes she had stopped in front of the trio who had tears welled in their eyes. Blush groomed Ametrine a moment, wondering where he would take the pride. B was only a couple years younger than her and would pass leadership soon. She took solace in the kind heart the young adolescent showed and knew everything would be okay.
She nuzzled each one and no words were exchanged for moment. She murmured a quiet goodbye and they returned the ever so soft call. She pulled away from each before turning and beginning to walk away from the pride and to a place she knew all to well. Blush paused for a moment a looked over the pride one last time. Two small litters squirmed under their mothers persistent tongues, not yet old enough to leave the den. A pair of sisters groomed each other, away from the main group, not yet settled into the pride. Five lionesses called their goodbyes at they left out for their evening hunt. Blush's heart swelled to see Night leading the group.
"Mom!" Blush herd a desperate call and turned her head seeing her last daughter, Chochokpi. Tears filled her eyes as she ran towards her. Her father, B, was walking a little ways behind her. Blush smiled as a she held her tears back, the cub that always had the snappy attitude but reminded her so much of herself. "Don't go, momma," She whimpered softly as she slowed to a walk as she neared the elder. "Hush darling..." She spoke softly and licked her cheeks free of tears,"You take care of your father okay?" she said and the distraught cub nodded as she buried into her mother. Chochokpi nodded and kept close to her mother. "I will always be with you.." She whispered softly in her ear before nudging her to her father who neared. The young lioness buried her face into her fathers thick fur as if she was trying to get away from all the bad. Blush began to walk away. Soon, after comforting his daughter, B, nudged her to return to the pride and she sorrowfully made her way back to the others. Only then he walked in the direction of Blush. When he found her she was lying under the tree where they first met. Oh how beautiful it was... even through the large tree had turned old and lost its leaves. The bush was dried and only a pile of sticks now. The once raging river now a thin calm stream. He still saw all the beauty in the area and how it looked when they had first met. As he approached her she gave her a soft call and laid down curling around her. Blush's breathing was shallow and uneven and she opened her eyes looking up to her lover, a single tear rolling down her cheeks. The male licked it away and groomed her gently before stopping seeing her eyes begin to close slowly, "May we meet again my love..." He said softly and lowered his head next to hers as the final golden rays of the setting sun disappeared and was replaced by a full moon and a single bright star in the sky...
