Queen Datura

When Hyacinth left his home pride and struck out across the plains, seeking territory of his own, he came across a young lioness who was sick and close to starvation. She had been kicked out of her own pride due to her strange coloration and her story struck a chord with the young lion.

The two traveled together for awhile when they came across a beautiful landscape. Close to a river, plenty of game, and heavily wooded areas made for the perfect place to start a new pride. Datura chose to stay with her new mate and begin a life as Queen.

Soon after they settled, a lone lioness named Akemia came across their territory and joined them. She became a close friend and adviser to Datura and the Queen was devastated when the Sickness took her. When Akemia's daughter Indica returned to the pride, Datura took it upon herself to show the younger lioness the same love and kindness that Akemia had shown her.

The day that Trillium came upon the pride was the worse day of Datura's long life. Not only had her mate, the king, died but now this cruel impostor slaughters her Indica along with several other of the pride's lionesses. It was only due to her age and rank that her life was spared. She helped her daughter hide away her grandchild and she went out to her when she could, taking food until she was big enough to hunt for himself.

It was unfortunate that she did not live to see her granddaughter Sherlock restore her family to their proper place.
