Felidae is a daughter of Atia the unfaithful, the lioness who had let herself be seduced away by a rival male. It's a hard title to bear for her daughter, now of middling years, who has had to suffer the angry glares and muted whispers of her pride mates since her cub hood. She slips around the den like a shadow, fearful that one day the undercurrent of rancor could cause one of them to attack her and drive her off. Felidae is weak; she would not last a day on her own, due to her frail body and turned paw. It's hard for her, but she has so far borne it with remarkable fortitude, guarding the pride's cubs while her sisters go hunting.
