Aisa hails from a land far away; an extremely wealthy and beautiful land, full of breathtaking lion-women and the most handsome of lion-men. Hundreds of years ago, in the heart of the city, there was a kingdom ruled by a King and Queen that were well-loved by all. However, in the underbelly of the city lurked a dark secret. The Queen had been very ill for a time, and the King, afraid for his wife, ordered his shamans to concoct an elixir to cure his wife's illness. They were successful, and the Queen had become healthier than she had ever been. The King, becoming rather old, was stricken with a grand idea after they had managed to create such an incredible elixir, and so ordered the royal shamans to experiment with forbidden magicks in an attempt to find a way to secure immortality.
Among these shamans was Aisa, a young leopard-lion hybrid, which is commonly referred to as a leopon. Though younger than the rest of the shamans, Aisa was highly talented and intelligent, proudly sporting the golden rings and ankle-band that only the royal shamans were meant to wear. On top of being talented, Aisa was also very beautiful, with her smoky charcoal coat, lithe body and bright eyes.
Many long years had passed, and Aisa, with help from the others, had created an elixir to grant immortality during the Queen's final hours. They and the King scrambled to the Queen's bed to give her the elixir, but it was too late. The elixir had no time to begin working, and the Queen passed away.
The King, driven mad by his wife's death, lost all sense and blamed Aisa for her death, claiming that she had been conspiring to kill them both and that the elixir was actually poison. As punishment, he issued a public execution for Aisa by forcing her to drink the elixir. Of course, since the elixir was not poison, Aisa didn't die. The King, as well as the public, were now convinced that Aisa was a witch, and she was forced to flee.
