Growing up, Mist always had her eyes on Cadan, but she knew their love would be forbidden, as she was a Healer and he the heir. She knew that she would have to forget him, but she could not.
When Whitethorn died, Cadan became King and took Mist as his queen, as he too had always loved her. During their reign, they had three cubs together, Tullia, Caeoimhin, and Andraste, two daughters and a son.
After her mother's death, Mist's world came crashing down. She became depressed, and secluded herself from the pride, making her sisters and Cadan very worried.
One day, she went out on her own, just to think for awhile, and this is where she came face to face with a lioness who she thought was her mother's ghost. However, this stranger was no ghost, but a relative of Dark Waters. Her name was Eye of the Sun and she had come seeking safety for her cubs. Mist brought her back to Cadan, who granted her and her cubs a safe refuge. Soon, Sun decided she like the Dark Marsh lions and they welcomed her with open arms.
Some time after Andraste was born, Mist knew her time was coming to an end, but she also knew her pride was in safe paws and that her mother's legacy would last a very long time. Her mind was finally at peace.
