The Pride of Night was only for the merciless, ruthless killers of Savannah. Brokenclaw was the most blood-thirsty of them all, and was feared by everyone and everything. It is said that wherever his paws land, the ground and plants would wither and die. Whether that was true or not, no one knows as he rarely went anywhere and the grounds of his territory were already tarnished with the blood of enemies and pride mates. Everyone had to look the same no matter what. Everyone's pelts were a black or charcoal grey and eyes could be any colour (preferably red) any colour... except blue. Just not blue. It brought back bad memories for the murderous Brokenclaw. One of his favourite mates (Brokenclaw had five mates and had no Queen) Ravenheart bore three cubs and everyone gathered round, waiting for these cubs of Brokenclaw to arrive (there was no privacy at all) Out came into the world was the first cub, a son - in fact Brokenclaw's first son and was named Hollow for his creepy pale grey eyes which were almost white, next came a daughter who was named Kambo which meant 'Unlucky' for she turned out to be blind and then came the last cub, and was a shock to the whole pride, and it all displeased Brokenclaw. Firstly, it was a female and female cubs tended to annoy his Kingly-ness. Secondly, oh so horrifically, she was Albino white and the only trace of black was her marking of 'Black Flow'. Thirdly, and this scared Brokenclaw the most, she had blue eyes. Blue eyes that seemed to reach down into your soul and wrench it out. At first sight, the King of Night jumped back and hissed at two lioness's and ordered them to get it out of the territory and kill it. The lioness's were unsure but dragged the cub out of the territory and away from the disturbed Brokenclaw. Instead of killing the terrified cub, they cleaned her by the stream and took her to a motherly lone lioness whom agreed to raise the young cub as her own. The lone lioness watched proudly as the cub grew to become beautiful and loving, and to her amazement she had a touch with harmony and peace, due to this the name Maisha, meaning 'life' was adopted and Maisha grew to become a loving, loyal pride member of Samson's pride, and lives a carefree life of not knowing of her horrific background.
