Istas is really tough and doesn't let anyone down easy. She pushes her pride-members to give 110% and when they fail, she makes sure to let them know. Deep down, she really does care and acts this way because she wants them to be the best they can be. But on the outside, she's really hard to get close to because of this attitude/behavior.

Mekaisto welcomes her personality since there are many laidback and lazy characters in the pride. He knows she will whip them into shape and will also be on his back about his responsibilities and flaws. He needs that. She's the bluntest in the lair and the only one who will really tell him what she and the others think of him.

It is believed that Istas is truly afraid of failure and that's why she pushes others and works so hard to defeat failure. Rumors say she was verbally and physically abused by her father/King of her homepride and that's why she is the way she is. She never talks about her past, so it's all speculation.

-Istas comments on your lack of skill in sparring with other lions as you approach.
-As you walk by, Istas refuses to look at you! She must be angry about something you did before..
-You want to tell a pride mate that they need to correct their behavior, but you couldn't find the words and you felt bad. So, you approach Istas and ask her to do it for you. She laughs at your ineptitude, but agrees. You can trust her to say what needs to be said.
-Istas shoots you a pointed stare as you near, snorting at you disapprovingly for some reason or another.
