Nova is the daughter of Rose fire, yet she holds a very low rank. She doesn't show much interest in hunting but rather in her appearance. Having a rare eye color and very unique coat compared to the other lionesses she often tries to compete with Sheba and Dust cloud. The two older and much more experienced lionesses simply brush her off. She doesn't give up trying to prove herself to them though. Rose does not interfere with her choice of not becoming top hunter, she simply waits for Nova to realize her need for attention from the other females is childish. Rose predicts that her daughter could be a great pride queen if she wanted to be, but for now she still has some learning to do.
At the age of 15, Dust Cloud passed away, in her final moments she granted her rank of third highest pride female on to Nova. After the years of Nova working to impress her, she was paid off with the elderly lionesses respect in the end.
At the age of 9 years and 6 months, Nova witnessed the passing of her mother Rose Fire from an accident caused by old age while on a hunting trip. Though she expected disappointment from her mother that she had not lead the life of a huntress like her mother wished she would, she was rather shocked when Rose Fire said she was proud of her from being who she wanted to be despite her heritage. With such a revaluation her outlook on life has somewhat shifted, she hopes she can be the best hunter and mother she can be.
The death of Ebony, was of course to be expected, she had outlived many of the prides previous lions, and it was due time for her to get a well deserved rest. however the style with witch the fawn lioness had gone was strange, she had literally vanished, no one seen her leave, no one knew when she left, she just disappeared. Ebony had always be the independent one after all. By the time Nova turned 14 she was the one who confirmed her long time friend's death when she stumbled across her decaying form in the shade of some dark barked brambles, call it ironic, but the plants around the lionesses body where all ebony-black colored and she looked like she could have been asleep. the pride left Ebony where they found her in peace since it was apparent she chose where she died, Nova dearly misses her old friend.
Nova has successfully raised many cubs which have found their way to new prides to live out there days. One of her daughters, Rakasa is her spitting image and has chosen to stay in her mothers pride, two of her other daughters, and granddaughter also remained in order to be trained as hunters but Nova but plan too travel to new prides after. Naturally, at the age of 14 years and 2 months she needed an heir, and who better than her remaining daughter which has chosen to live in the pride? however, she was utterly shocked when Rakasa refused the offer, instead suggesting Nova pass it to Helvetinlee. Confused beyond compare Nova questioned why, and her daughters simple answer was that Helvetinlee was more suited for a high rank and certainly needed the motivation to truly feel welcome in the pride. After some active discussion Nova agreed, though she made sure her daughter understood she was not any sort of disappointment to the aging lioness.
