Masego means "blessing" in Tswana (an african language), a name which Masego likes to flaunt (as though it means anything). Masego is very vain and prissy, and will often get on Nnamdi's nerves just for the fun of it. She is very fastidious about grooming her golden fur, and would often tease Taonga about her duller grey fur (which often earned her a snarl and a slap to the face.) Masego holds quite a bit of jealousy towards Yewande for her snow-white belly, and will often make nasty remarks about Yewande's appearance in an effort to make herself feel better. Yewande mostly reacts with subdued amusement, however, since she understands Masego's true feelings. However, despite her annoying nature, Masego was one of the first to join Nnamdi's pride, and can bring quite a bit of fun to the otherwise serious pride.
