Shaman #1 - Priestess Hasa

Hasa arrived in Achilia's pride lands shortly following the birth of the two royal cubs. She had travelled through many territories in search of her long lost pride members.

Achilia recognised her distinctive colouration immediately, and led her to the sunning rocks to find one of his huntresses, Kusitawi, who had arrived months ago after her pride was slaughtered.

When Kusitawi spotted them, her eyes grew wide and she began to weep for joy, before leaping from her rock and bounding forwards to nuzzle Hasa, purring. The newcomer leaned back to take in Kusitawi's health, and a confused expression settled over her features when she noticed how pregnant she was.

Kusitawi looked away, but Hawa reached for her paw, and smiled, eyes full of understanding. They bumped foreheads again and Hawa congratulated her older friend.

Introductions and explanations began. Hasa was three years younger than Kusitawi. Her mother and aunt had been their pride shamans and although Hasa was quite young for a priestess, she had showed a great ability to commune with the spirits and had been initiated at a much younger age than most lionesses.

Hasa turned to Achilia and politely asked to join his pride; she had been searching for Kusitawi for a very long time and had finally found her. She didn't want to leave again.

He beamed at her, glad she had asked. He had been concerned for Kusitawi's welfare for some time now, especially since the beginning of her pregnancy, and Hasa's presence seemed to help quite a bit. Plus, they didn't have any shamans, and he was well aware they needed them to be more in tuned with the land, seasons and spirits.

So he accepted her, and gave permission for her to establish a practice of Shamanism as the pride's first Spiritual leader.

Hasa means 'special' in Swahili.
