When Khavi was on one of his long strolls... he came across a little muddy cub, wailing, bumped and bruised and chased by something or other- she described it as a monster with shining eyes, but Khavi suspected the little cub had simply got into the muddy road and a Ranger's vehicle had bowled her over into the splashy puddles... The problem was, there were no obvious aunties watching, and this was /Khavi's/ Territory!
Khavi began to clean her, hoping to calm her enough for a long walk to the Nature Preserve- Oh weren't they going to be SO proud of him! Another cub for them! and loo-- oh, hey, whoa... He cleaned the little female cub up a bit MORE... her coat was Albino-White, but... LOOK at those crazy color tones around her paws and face and tail!! She looked like a little white MOUSE!!
Bwahahahaha... poor Khavi couldn't help it- he carried her HOME instead. She was the cutest thing he'd EVER seen!! Adorable!! He couldn't WAIT to add her to his new Pride. A little mousy thing, that surely would add to the Pride's strength in time! She was adorable, and SWEET, and just... wow, what a great little personality she had!!
little Mouse couldn't help but be happy either... she may have been rescued by this strange, Kind King... but he regaled her with tales of his own Pride's kindness and love to stray cubs TOO... and how so many were aging and had nothing BUT time to teach and play and groom and... OH she knew she was going to be so happy!
She wondered if she would ever have the bravery to tell him her own Mother and Auntie had been killed while teaching the cubs, and they'd all gone to the four winds, every which way, when a terrible dark lion attacked them... did he need to know that, she sniffled to herself? Or could she just squeeze her eyes closed, and imagine he'd found them TOO, and brought them to that wonderful place HE grew up in- the 'Nature Preserve'...
