Kaṭā

Name meaning: "Tawny"

An aging lioness, Kaṭā's old pride dispersed, and she found Kieru at the cliffs. She quickly became friends with him and she came to join his pride. The elder earned a spot among the royals of the pride, and serves as a mascot and a sign of hope for the pride. Despite her age, she refuses to sit out on hunts, and joins a small squadron of lionesses during their hunts every time they leave to the hunting grounds. She is modest but kind, and regales the youngest lions with tales of daring hunts, dangerous fights, and regal lions. Kaṭā is nearly blind at this point, her white eyes giving this trait away, but she doesn't let this slow her down in hunts.

At an age of fourteen years and one month, Kaṭā became fully blind, and died only two months later. She is mourned by the others who got along well with her, such as Diablo.
