A watchful lioness, Queen Talia always took care of the whole pride, much more so than her mate King Whistle. Play time and territory disputes were his domain, all other duties were hers. She sometimes regretted throwing her lot in with Whistle for his lackadaisical nature, but he was a good father, and decent enough in a fight to defend her many cubs. It was Talia who had the final say in who could stay in the pride, picking and choosing the lions who would best work together.
She was the director of all hunts, and with her strategies, she would bring back not only enough food for the Whistlegrass Pride, but also for many neighboring lions. Sadly, hunting was to be her downfall, killed while taking down a hippopotamus and its calf. The pride mourned their loss of their greatest hunter and leader, with her consort and companion Rune taking her death the hardest, maybe even more so than her mate.
She is survived by her mate, King Whistle, and daughters, Princess Radel, and Princess Isla, along with many cubs she considered her own in life. The heir to the throne, Lord Rune, is also remiss, having been groomed for the position by her, and having been her closest companion.

Talia first saw Whistle while he was young, with his thick mane barely done growing. He had just attempted to charm another female she had been traveling with of late, and still had her claw marks visible on his face, with bright red blood dripping down his nose. It had looked like this wasn't his first time being rejected, but he did not appear to be deterred, a fact that interested Talia.

The first lioness to follow Whistle home. Her first hunt (the prides' first hunt) yielded an elephant carcass, by herself!
