Background:

As a youth she was a restless one. She would travel from pride to pride stay no longer than it would take her to breed a little and move on. She came across Beladon back when he had only a few members to his clan. He was impressed by her and hoping that a more seasoned lioness would be able to give his pride some standing in the eyes of the neighboring prides he asked her to join his pride.

For a time Pandora seemed content but as she watched, the pride grew and struggled to support itself as the cubs grew up and stayed in the pride unable to find a new pride to take them in because of their weakness and lack of discernible markings. She began to carefully insinuate herself into Beladon's life and Beladon thrilled that Pandora was finally paying attention to him was careful to do everything he could to stay in her good graces.

Soon he named Pandora queen of the pride and slowly she began to work on the structure of the clan. She carefully selected lionesses from other prides that she had been communicating with and convinced Beladon to chase off the lionesses who were not as impressive as the others. When she had him whittled down the majority of their pride she sat back and watched as the majority of those who remained began to show immense dislike towards Beladon.

Knowing now that she could get to Beladon to turn a blind eye to her deeds she ordered her lionesses to kill off the weakest of the pride both adults, adolescents and cubs. She then let those who remained know that things had changed in the pride. Beladon was still technically king but they would answer to her. Her one of her children would be the next here and she had no intention of allowing the pride to be weak any longer. Thus began the reign of Pandora. Some of the lionesses fled rather than serve under her. Others blamed Beladon for allowing her to get so powerful and began to avoid him as much as they could. Pandora keeps the clan small and will allow a child to replace their mother if it strengthens the pride.

Pandora's knows her time is near. She has had four children that she is pleased with. She is not the type of ruler to make herself exempt from her own laws. She has culled no less then 5 of her own cubs including Psyche's twin sister. Of her offspring that remain they show great promise. Her son Paios serves in another pride as a potential heir for that throne. She had a daughter in her next litter whom she named Psyche and has taught her how to run and advise a clan. In her last litter she had a male and a female. Her son Banquan will be the new king of the pride and her hope is that his sister Sheherezade will become his defender. She intends for both her daughters to support their brother as the new king of the clan. She is aware of the fact that she is running out of time to teach her children and as such she teaches Psyche as much as she can while leaving instructions with Otyme her second to teach any future lessons that she will not be able to impart.
