Asali was a yearling when Antaka found her, on her own for the first time. Her eyes, White like snow were a prized genetic trait in some prides, but reviled and hated by her own. She was leered at by older males, constantly on the run and hungry.

Until one day a young male, not many season older than herself appeard before her- upside down. "Do you want to chase butterflies with me?" He asked.

"wha-what?" Asali replied.

"Do. you. want to chase butterflies with me?" the meddlesome male asked again. Not long after she learned his Name- Antaka a name with a dark meaning for a lion so brilliantly white. She joined his pride that day, small then, two full grown lionesses and another yearling such as herself.

And while she is the last remaining of their original small unit, in a way she is glad. Antaka lost many cubs over his life time whether it be to still births, runaways or exile and it had made him a bitter lion, vicious to those outside his on family unit. He prized the cubs of his pride sisters, cherished them as his own, even hand picked an orphan male as his heir, but still he feared. And Asali did too- for her king had grown a fearsome reputation- only balanced out by his alliance with the great and kind king Damza. what would happen when the Orphan Heirs took the throne? would the cubs who played under her daughter's care- the true heirs, Princess Sheikh and Princess Ona be able to reign in their intendeds?

Asali made a promise to herself that day- if either of those boys hurt those two princess's she would tear their throats out. She would show them just how deadly poisoned honey can be.
