Her daughter, Nakala, is the spitting image of her, and watching the two interact is amusing to some of the pride members, as Kerási's young cub looks like a tiny version of her. After Kerási's daughter became an independent member of the pride, Kerási approached Maji, the senior Broodmother, about becoming one of the watchers of the cubs. Her calm, protective nature allowed for Kerási to become the perfect Broodmother, and her success in raising Nakala allowed her to become one, giving the pride another cub protecter in Maji's older age.
