The world outside was cold. Even though the sun was high and the day was warm, it wasn't as warm as it was inside of her mother. The newly born leopon cub mewled and cried out from the shock of it, shivering, still wet. Something up ahead was blocking the breeze from her tiny body, but it still ruffled her fur. She whimpered, crawling towards the barrier, little by little, her biggest challenge, until her mother chirped, pleased with her strength already. She carefully plucked her up between her teeth, placing her by her belly to suckle.
Axel paced around the nest, anxious to meet his new children, but one in particular caught his eye. The one. That was the one that he had been hoping for, a squirming little kitten, and now she was here. A purr rumbled in his throat as he bounded forward to meet her. Some of the butterflies that were circling his pelt bailed on him, waiting outside of the bush so they wouldn't hurt their delicate wings as he went in, others found themselves attracted to something else...
As if it was a sign, some of the insects fluttered around the suckling kit, swarming her already. She was definitely the one. His daughter, new royalty, his princess. Another purr rose in his throat without him even meaning to, just so emotional, and he wrapped himself around the nursing mother in the bush, closing his eyes contentedly. No words needed to be exchanged.

Axel's tail tip twitched as he raised his paw in the air. "Show me your jumps!" He chuckled as Crystal leapt in the air with strong back legs, wrapping her paws around his. He brought his paw down along with her as she fell back to the ground, immediately biting at his pawpads and kicking with her hind legs. It didn't hurt; it showed what a strong little hunter that she was coming out to be already. "You're already growing up so big," He mused to himself as her tiny milk teeth gnawed at him.
