Upon hearing her feminine warrior name, Darkpetal was ready to throw down with Briarstar. What part of ANY of her said she was soft and delicate?! It was only when she heard from another warrior that Briarstar's own mother had been named Petaltuft and that she was the first cat named -petal of his reign as RippleClan's leader that Darkpetal saw it for what it was- an homage to his mother. She hadn't wanted kits, not at first. Darkpetal had planned on foisting off the little parasites on another nursing queen and ignoring their existence. That changed once little Firekit was nursing at her belly. She had him for one day and if anything ever happened to him, she'd kill everyone in this pride and then herself.
