The grandmotherly Asha hails from a smaller pride to the north - despite her old age, she decided that now was the time for a fresh start, especially after growing exhausted of the arrogance of her former king. Her journey to the marshlands brought her upon Linjal's pride, and drawn in by the good nature of the young lion and his pride, she chose to live out her twilight years in the lively wetlands by his side. A nurturing soul, Asha holds a soft, vast space in her heart for all the cubs of the pride, and it is with great, undying love but also fierce motherly protection that she keeps them safe from disease and harm. Head of the broodmothers, Asha holds a significant position of authority in the pride, and is respected by all. It doesn’t exactly mean she doesn’t get backtalk from cubs every once in a while, but she has the patience to handle it. Asha died from old age in her twilight years. She lived a fulfilling life with Linjal's pride and continues to watch over them with her vigilant and caring eye.
