The politically motivated union between Aoife and Fiachna the Second produced an unfortunate waif, unloved by her mother and kept a secret from her father. Aoife tried to teach Ffion to be a vicious brutal killer to impress Driscoll, but Ffion had too much of her father in her and in due time she ran away from her mother's cruel embrace and found shelter among her true family. Shortly thereafter her mother was killed in a fight with local hyenas and the Dragon's Guard was disbanded. Ffion left behind her mother's teachings and void to redeem the bloodline of the Dragon. Too long had that bloodline been associated with blood and death. Aoife would be the last brutal Dragon, Ffion became the pride's steadfast guardian, her love for them never wavering. Indeed her devotion to the Heart's Ease Pride was so great that she was granted boon after boon by the Goddess. Soon though the end of her life neared. In fear that her beloved pridemates and the daughter she had so lovingly brought into this world would be in danger once she was gone, she cried out to be allowed to serve her pride forever and it is said that the Goddess granted this wish as well and now she dwells in the shadows forever watching over the Heart's Ease Pride. More than the ancestral spirits who watch over the pride from the stars. Sometimes she appears among the pride as though she had never left carefully ushering cubs from danger, her roar warning of an impending attack, running alongside the huntresses to scare prey into their grasp, or, when dark times threaten the pride, standing alongside the guards, striking terror into the hearts of all who would wish harm upon her beloved pride.

She is the hand of the Goddess and a truer Dragon than any that came before her.
