You nod in return and settle down next to him, following his gaze to the lionesses tittering about the dens, and others returning from the hunt. You ask Applepie what he's doing up here. "I am very new to this pride, I come from his brother, Kaelmar's, pride." ApplePie shakes his head quietly. "Kaeltar is a far different King than his brother, and yet I am next in line to become King of this pride. Should I follow in the footsteps of the King who took me in when I had no home, or should I lead as his brother does?" ApplePie looks over the lionesses cheering and tussling good naturedly below. "While I understand Kaelmar, and he had a far more successful pride; I cannot help but see the beauty in these lionesses. Though they are far weaker than Kaelmar's, they are happy and thriving. Something Kaelmar's lionesses lack." It seems this male just needs time to adjust to the new way of life, and some time to think his decisions for the future over.
