An elderly lioness lounges on a boulder outside the cave. You notice the word "Nyumba" scratched above the entrance. As you approach the elderly red, she turns to you, holding you in a striking emerald gaze. You stutter to introduce yourself.
"Glad to meet your acquaintance," She smiles weakly, "I am Upenda, Rezon's queen." Your mouth starts to open in surprise, and Upenda laughs.
"I know, I'm old, and he seems so young. He's only two years younger than me." You nod, unsure of how to continue the conversation.
"I'll be drifting into the afterlife soon, I can feel it," the Queen whispers, allowing her gaze to wander off in the distance, "Our shaman, Kichawi, agrees. But I am not afraid. I only fear that Rezon won't be okay without me." A small tear slides down her cheek, and you nuzzle it away in an attempt to comfort her. She looks at you again, eyes kinder now, with that smile back on her face.
"Would you check on him after I'm gone? Make sure he's alright?" you earnestly nod, unable to say no to the Queen.
"Good, good," she whispers, laying her head down on her paws, and drifting off into sleep. You bow to her silently, and wander off to continue exploring.

"Yes, how did such an odd male such as Rezon come to have such a calm, normal lioness as I?" You stutter, clarifying you didn't mean to offend, and the red lioness simply smiles and interrupts you, "You did not offend, child, quite the opposite. Many seem to think I am too good for my King Rezon. They usually get eaten."
You gulp as Upenda looks off into the distance. You guess the conversation is over and continue on your merry way.
