you’ve never seen a lioness so white and . . . any eyes so red. they’re almost glowing, and they unnerve you to the point that you shuffle your paws and look away from /her/. she glanced at you and let out a snort, flicking her white tail. “Don’t worry, I’m not cursed or nothin’. I’m just not like everyone else.” Then she slides to her paws and walks through the grasses.

Nobody wanted Althaia. Her mother refused to suckle her, so another lioness did it. Her father refused to acknowledge her, so she looked up to the patrolling males, and no cubs played with her, so she found friends in the birds and bugs.

Althaia’s condition had caused her entire family to turn her away, and, once she was old enough, to abandon her at the market with no such care. That is when Atreus I found her, and he had become soft immediately. He knew full well what it was like to be shunned for who you were born as.

After taking her back to his pride, some of the lionesses began to wonder about her. She found it odd that they would approach her and ask about her mutation, but she would simply tell them about it. They were at least nicer than her old pride. She has found a home in this pride and she’s rather fond of the lions within it.

Althaia huffs angrily, shaming you for public affection during a morning snuggle. Others might not appreciate it! When you two are alone, she'll give you all the snuggles you want.

Althaia steps away when you go in for a snuggle, and with concern in her voice asks if you can go somewhere more private.
