Lavantha was bought into the pride by the former King Razulf. She never did find herself comfortable with him around though, and so she stuck near Gladis, the former Queen. She learned many tricks and tips for hunting from her and uses them in her hunts even today.

When Lavantha was just an adolescent, Razulf was overthrown by Hansel, a fierce lioness. The first thought everyone had was that Hansel will be a tyrant matriarch, but it was the other way around. She loved her subjects and never did anything to hurt anyone, almost. As soon as Hansel became Queen, she separated the clean and unclean lionesses. But why, Lavantha thought, as no one had ever seen this as a problem. A small songbird on Hansel's shoulder flew around the heads of the lionesses and saw inside their blood and mind. Lavantha was moved into the cave of "Cleans" and separated forever from her mentor.
Months passed and Lava grew restless, she knew almost no one from these new bloods and missed her mentor and only friend. She tried to sneak out of her cave and visit Gladis. But her efforts were in vain. Submales were put on patrol to watch out for sneaking lionesses.

Lavantha has been the Queen of the Hunt for years now. Her battered and scar covered body is the indicator of her reign of the game. As much as she didn't want to admit, her body was growing oh so weak. Her joints hurt and her paws hurt. Blind in one eye, she still led hunts. Her sisters in game told her to stop, specially her soul sister Mifuku, who herself was blind in one eye and almost blind in the left eye. Mifu had adapted as she became blind early on, but for Lavantha her vision was crucial. Her rabbit advisor was acted as her eyes for a while, but nothing good lasts. On her last hunt she was hit in the eye by a gazelle's hind hoof and immediately lost all vision. She was escorted back immediately and the hunt was put on hold.

The healer baboons did all they could to stop the bleeding and swelling, but nothing cured her blindness. The Queen was left helpless. At the old age of 13 years, Lavantha handed down the reigns of the hunt to her sisters and the young huntresses.
