Cheetahpelt

From the day of her birth one lioness is selected by her pride sisters for a special role. She will hunt beside them as will she be permitted to have cubs, if she so desires it, but her main duty will be to remind her sisters of the laws the pride has spoken through the years. It is through her that all the rules set by the queens shall be remembered.


The First Queen Leafstorm.
It would be wrong to say Leafstorm was the first queen, there were many before her, but throughout the years only her name remains as a whisper among the pride today. There is no record of her in pride history, but she was believed to have a brown pelt.

She was the one of the most strong willed of all the pride members. When many of the pride sisters left due to the neglectful Mane, she stayed strong looking out for her sisters and their cubs. Fighting for their lives at the risk of her own. Which ultimately caused her own death at the hands of the new mane El-ahrairah, The Mane forbid anyone for speaking of Leafstorm and made sure to kill any of her cubs both young and old to have no record of the definite lioness.

Leafstorm is only known for one law though it is the most important one in the pride. Look out for your sisters and their cubs. Defend them with your life as they should do the same for you.




The Second Queen, Cheetahpelt
Cheetahpelt was the second queen. She was a more than capable hunter that was known for her determination to provide for her sisters. Like Leafstorm, she never backed down from a challenge and fought El-ahrairah on all matters she did not agree with and bore the scars to prove it. It was through her determination that El-ahrairah's cruel reign ended sooner rather than later. And when the new Mane Solomon came around, she quickly put him in his place.

Making her first law; A pride is ruled by the lioness within it. All the land is owned by the sisters and not the Mane. Each decision is voted on by all lioness old enough to hunt.

Her second law quickly followed; Any Mane who comes to the pride must be made to realize that he is replaceable. It is the sisters that do all the hunting and children raising. Without him the pride will go on, but without a pride a Mane is nothing, but a common rogue. Should the Mane prove not to satisfiable to the pride then the sisters shall band together and exile him.

As age began to get to Cheetahpelt fear began to worm its way into her heart. Not fear over death, but fear for her sisters. Many of the ones that went through the reign of terrible Manes were becoming weak from age or they had already made their journey to their sisters in the stars. She was worried her younger sisters would not understand what all their older sisters went through to make the pride a heaven for all sisters, so she enacted her final law;

There shall be one lioness selected by the sisters that shall learn all the laws from her past sisters. That she will be charged with the duty of reminding her sisters of the laws and keeping them in check when they stumble and to keep the flame passion their ancestors lit alive within the pride today.
