She was born three months after Libi and Liyu at the beginning of the Dry season and end of the Great Hunger. Her mother named her Geri after her gentle nature she displayed very early on. She was part of her mother's second litter but her father's first with her younger sister, Danisi. Due to her trying to help her mother with cubs, the pride decided that Geri would become a Broodmother like her mother.
