Princess Kaylani

Kaylani is a very rare hybrid of a male leopard and female lioness. But she is more lion since she’s second generation. Her mother was a full half breed and her father a full lion. She left home out of curiosity, she was looking for herbs and other grasses. Wanting to help her pride, but she ended up lost and turned around. She came upon a marshland, she’d never seen one but knew of them. Thinking maybe she’d find some rare herbs that would help ease her punishment for being away for so long. It was hot and muddy and hardly any dry ground. She looked up at the blue sky and ended up getting snagged by a tree root. Flopping into a clearing, dazed and confused, she looked around. Uh-oh. She’d just landed in the middle of a pride clearing. Some of lionesses glared at her and growled, while the ones in back just watched curiously. There were cubs wearing various expressions. Then a big Primal Male came forward. “Hmmm, you look like a leopard but you don’t have right markings.” He said. He had a very strong British accent.
She looked at him and said “I’m a leopon, one third leopard and two thirds lion.” He smile lightly, “Welcome to my pride, I’m Lucifer Morningstar, don’t mind the girls. Most don’t bite but some will more then willing shred you.” Some of lionesses where coming forward to greet her and sniff her. The more grumpy ones just looked and went back to resting. “I really need get back to my pride, I’ve been lost for couple of days.”
“Which Pride where you in? Maybe I know the way.” He said. She thought for second and realized her pride never mentioned a name. “I don’t know, they never told me it.” He looked at her with slight glee. “They kept you by yourself? Always let you wander?” She thought for second and said “Well... yes they did.”
“Now what I am going tell you might upset you. They wanted you to leave, and wanted make sure you wouldn’t want to come back.” She didn’t feel sadden at all, if anything relieved she wasn’t going get punished for being away. “How about you join my pride?” He looked over to a pure white lionesses “She’d make a good princess, right Jasiri?” The lioness purred happily “It’d be a pleasure to take her in.”
This was a huge decision and Kaylani was honestly excited to be part of a real pride. “I want to join.” She said it quickly. He came forward and rested his head on hers and let out a big great purr. “What would you like me to do?” She asked.
“Well today you can rest, then tomorrow you can join the other adolescents in training. You can explore as much as you want, just make sure you don’t get lost again.” He finished and walked away to lay down. She looked around at the other lionesses. Some had mutations and where so interesting looking. A blue female came over to her with a gray lioness following her by the tail. She looked at gray lioness in shock, she was blind.
“Hello and welcome, my names Thelugi and this is Pofu. I’m one of broodmothers of this clan. I also help any lion that needs it, I see you collect herbs. That’ll sure help with any lions that are badly sick”. She smiled happily and continued to walk towards a cave. That’s when she noticed there was 3 caves. “Wonder which one I belong in.” She said out loud in wonder.
That’s when a very grumpy pewter lioness approached her. By her coloration she could tell this lioness was a piebald. “You belong in the VV cave, you’ll be sharing it with me and six others. My name is Celestial.” Without warning she turned and started walk towards the cave the blind lioness went to. “What are you doing just standing there? Hurry up and follow already!” She snarled. “I’m coming.” Kaylani trotted to catch up and followed the lioness into the cave. It was much more roomer then thought, big enough to house many lions. “Wow it’s nice in here.” She said as she felt the air was cooler. It also wasn’t dark inside, there was a hole in roof letting sunlight flood into cave. She looked around, there was another piebald, a primal, a bobtail, a achromia, the blind lioness and a maneless male.
The bobtail came to greet her “ Hello,” she cooed. “My name is Della, welcome to the pride. This here is Matunda.” She said looking over at the maneless male. “Well hello there,” he greeted and nodded. That’s when the achromia lioness shoved Della to side. Della and Matunda left, showing they were use to this type of treatment from her. “My names Safi and if I catch you near my nest or if you bother me any way I’ll claw you.” She snarled, unsheathing her claws.”
Kaylani took a step back. “I understand perfectly clear.” She said trying to keep unaffected. “Good!” The lioness went back to her spot and started to clean her claws.
The primal lioness came forward and nodded “I’m Acacia” She said then she too went to her spot. With the way she walked, you could tell she was an older lion. Lastly, the piebald lioness greeted her. “My name is Shupavu.” She had dark green eyes that showed no emotion. This sent a slight shiver down her spine.
Kaylani decided to make a nest next to Della and Pofu since they were the nicest of the lionesses. “So you’re different then the others?” Pofu asked. How could Kaylani explain what a leopon looked like to a blind lioness? “Yes I am, my body shape and colors are different.” She said to lioness. “Can I feel? All I do is touch you with my tail, it’ll probably tickle.” Pufo said.
Kaylani said yes and Pofu trailed her tail around ecerty part of her. “You are quite different indeed,” she stated. They talked for a bit then settled down to sleep. The next day Kaylani was busy training. It was like that for next couple of months. Then it had finally came to there was a full grow adult and also fully trained. It’d been a full year since she had joined the pride.
