4/8/18: At five months of age, Ozarka lost her father. She doesn't remember anything about him at all and she's quite on the fence about that. Sometimes she wishes she could remember more like her sister and other times she grateful she can't remember, because she doesn't want to feel the pain of the loss. Either way, she's happy with her life and pride.
4/25/18: With the death of her mother, Ozarka feels more lost than she ever has before. Her family, already strained from the death of her father, is now truly broken apart. Martyn, her brother, is always out patrolling, never sleeping in the main den. Fantasia II, her older sister, is out in the flowering fields where their mother used to visit. Ozara, her littermate, is always so angry and always looking to start a fight, she can't stay with the pride for more than a few minutes without causing a scene. And so Ozarka now spends her days running back and forth all throughout the territory trying to communicate with her siblings and bring them together, but they simply refuse. Her pride sisters have told her to give up on them and focus on herself and her place within the pride. She could become Trevelyan's queen if she focused on him more than her runaway siblings.
4/27/18: The day started like any other for Ozarka. She found her brother, Martyn, sitting at the northeast border watching the sunrise. She spent an hour with him, updating him on the latest gossip within the pride. He didn't look like he was listening, but she told him anyway. Afterward, she went and found her oldest sister, Fantasia II, in the flowering fields. She convinced her to go hunting with her and actually received a yes! Though Fantasia put no care into it, they managed to catch a warthog and share a meal. Ozarka then goes on to find her littermate, Ozara. She finds her chasing after some water buffalo by herself, but with no plan on actually hunting them. Ozarka joins her and the two have more fun than they ever have in the past months. Despite starting like any other day, it turned out better than most. A night storm was rolling in when Ozarka returned to the main den. Martyn, Fantasia II, and even Ozara had decided to sleep together for the stormy night and Ozarka was just about to join them when Trevelyan blocked her path. She thought it was a mistake and moved to the side when he blocked her again. Some of the pride members were curiously staring at them now. Before she could move or speak Trevelyan blurted out a proposal of marriage. Now everyone was staring at them. Trevelyan apologized before ranting on about his deep and profound love for her and how long it had been since it had started. By the time he was finished, Ozarka had no idea what to say and so she threw her arms around him in reply. Surprised but still shocked, he caught her and the two of them nuzzled into each other as their pride members cheered and clapped for them. Despite hearing curses thrown at them Ozarka was unbelievably happy. She had known her and Trevelyan were good friends and had noticed how weird he acted around her, but she never thought it could lead to this.
