6/1/2018 - Eros was not born into the Sun Pride. Instead, she was born into a small, family-style pride. She was close to her other pride members, and she never felt that she stood out; several of her other pride members had mutations as well, from other primals to a dwarf. She felt comfortable indeed.
However, the day came where she had to leave her pride. They weren't sure if the pride was going to stay together much longer, and wanted to give her a chance at safety and security. Brokenfang, leader of the Moonlit Pride, heard her leader's plight. It was quickly arranged for her to join Brokenfang, and she left happily and willingly.
The moment she arrived, however, she wondered if she had made the wrong choice. The pride was filled with a variety of lionesses, sure, but they all seemed so...normal. Yes, some had interesting patterns, and some were brighter than others. But she didn't see anyone that stood out as much as she did, and that worried her. Brokenfang had remained quiet for most of the walk back to den, but noticed the adolescent's hesitation. He was never good at these things, but he tried anyway.
"You don't have anything to be afraid of. You'll fit in well; life isn't all about appearances."
She listened to him, and nodded in respect, but she couldn't help but feel scared still.
Brokenfang led her to a den and motioned for her to step inside. Reluctantly, she did.
Waiting inside was a large lioness. Her fangs protruded quite noticeably, and she had a stubby tail. For all intents and purposes..
"You look like me!" Eros couldn't contain herself.
"I'm Fang," the Mauve lioness said. "Brokenfang thought I should welcome you. I'm not sure why, though."
Eros calmed down significantly after this. The Modest lioness showed her around and made sure she was well cared for. She was careful to keep Eros away from the ruder lionesses that resided in the pride.
After a few months, Brokenfang approached Eros. "My allies in the Sun Pride will be caring for you from now on. They are the kindest, most loving lions in all of Africa - you will not have to fear any of them. This I can promise you."
She frowned at this. She had grown quite attached to Fang, who had quickly become a mother to Eros. She understood his decision, though. She knew very well that there were a few evil lionesses here who didn't think too highly of her.
Fang told Eros never to worry. The two prides were close friends, and visits would be quite possible in the future. Eros took her word and left soon afterwards.
The Sun Pride's territory was beautiful. They lived near the watering hole. She loved the sunlight here; the Moonlit Pride resided deep in the jungle, and it always felt dark, even during the day.
All the lions here were incredibly sweet, as promised. The other adolescents took one look at her and immediately asked if she'd rather go rock climbing or racing. They didn't mind her strange appearance, and one even remarked they were jealous that she couldn't be caught by her tail, laughing as they thought of all the tussles they'd lost that way. She did feel quite at home here, but she couldn't help but miss her adoptive mom.
Blossom comforted Eros as best as she could. She made it very clear that she was not here to replace Fang; she just wanted to see the Sterling girl smile. Though it took a bit of time, she warmed up to the broodmother, and felt at peace once again.
Fang was very happy to hear this when Brokenfang returned from his latest visit to the Sun Pride.
6/7/2018 - Today was meant to be a good day.
Eros awoke to the sounds of adolescents chattering excitedly. She heard the voice of Firefly, who she enjoyed training with, but she did not recognize the second voice. Sleepily, she peered over to see a piebald girl blushing softly and giggling. Eros smiled at this.
"Good morning, Firefly. Who's your friend?" Eros asked sleepily.
"Eros! This is Kerberos. Kerberos, meet Eros. She's super sweet, I promise." Firefly replied.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Eros," Kerberos greeted.
She didn't get to talk to her friends for long. The lionesses were outside of the den. "Eros, Prowess! Your turn to train!" Neema called. She was a beautiful, laid-back lioness, riddled with the many scars she earned while hunting. Eros admired her greatly. Giving the other girls a nod, she quickly ran to her mentor's side.
Her training went well. She had grown considerably in both skill and size over the months, and as such, was nearing the end of her training. As she re-entered the territory, Masked Fate approached the party. He spoke to Neema for a moment before turning his attention to Eros. "Eros, please head to the lioness den. Someone is very excited to see you!" He gave the girl a wink before padding off with no further explanation.
Confused as she was, Eros headed towards the den. Who was she to refuse a direct order from her King? She could not believe her eyes when she arrived.
"Fang?" She whispered, teary-eyed. Before her was the Mauve primal that had acted as her mother in the Moonlit Pride.
"It's so lovely to see you again, Eros. I won't ever leave you again," Fang replied, holding back her own tears.
The two snuggled up together, sharing stories and catching up on their time apart. And they were happy at last.
6/8/2018 - 100% trained at 1 year, 9 months old!
6/20/2018 - Roaring loudly, Eros walks around practicing her fierce appearance, not really noticing you.
6/28/2018 - A lot had happened recently, it seemed.
Fang had a daughter; one of her own blood. Little acrylic was such a cutie, and Eros instantly loved her little sister. Acrylic was a bouncy, energetic girl who hated sitting still. She was quite different from Fang, but certainly not in a bad way.
A new Primal had entered the Pride as well. She introduced herself as Krolia, and grew close to Fang quickly. Of course, Eros didn't mind. Krolia was soft-spoken and exceptionally kind, and took the role as Eros's aunt. In reality, however, she saw the albino primal as a second mother. She'd only been here a couple months, but Eros always did have a tendency of growing attached quickly.
"Hey Eros?" A gentle voice interrupted the sterling girl's thoughts. Eros looked up at the lioness.
"Kara!" Eros was pleasantly surprised to see her. They'd grown to be good friends, seeing as they were in a hunting party together. "What's up?"
Kara smiled. "You've seemed a little overworked lately. Want to take a stroll to the lake?"
The lake was Eros' favorite place. It was where she'd taken Kara when the lioness still feared most of her pride members, in an attempt to loosen her up. It had worked well, seeing as Kara's been making friends.
'Overworked?' She pondered it for a moment. She'd certainly been hunting a lot, and doing errands for Fang and Acrylic. Maybe she hadn't been overworked, but she had worked a lot, and felt a rest was well-deserved.
"I'd love that, Kara."

The walk to the lake was faster than normal. Both lionesses kept up a brisk pace for reasons they couldn't place. The scene before them was beautiful; gorgeous water, lush plant life, and lots of fluffy ducks. Eros was so thankful she lived in such a watery territory. She adored watching the ducks here. Some had come to even expect her. They didn't fear her or any lion she came with, because they knew she wouldn't hurt them. Rather, she was quite helpful, even bringing snacks on occasion.
She lounged with Kara, ducks snuggling around their paws. It was so peaceful out here. She listened to the sound of the lake and sighed.
She hadn't realized how badly she needed this.
"It's good to take a break," Kara said, reading her thoughts.
Eros nodded. "It is, isn't it?"
7/5/2018 - Dressed!
7/11/2018 - 4 years!
7/20/2018 - You tell Eros about this standoff you had with three dogs, and she idly wonders why you didn't just kill them all. She states the drooling mongrels fear her deadly claws.
9/12/2024 - Eros sits next to you and watches the horizon for any incoming danger. Bees included.
Passed 11/3/2024. Gonna miss ya, angel..
