She had at least another year of good health, but Queen Freya III insisted that she retire and allow another lioness to rise up. 9/27/2020: Koman is devastated when her mother, Freya III passes away. She had hoped against all odds that her mother would live to be 16 years old. She was especially ashamed that she hadn't produced a daughter worthy of her mother's name. Koman is tempted to retire from the hunting team but ultimately decides not to as she knew her mother would be against doing so. 9/30/2020: Koman becomes angry at her sister, Beno when she tries to name her daughter after their mother. She had seen the cubs with her own eyes and they weren't much in to look at. One of them was a sunset lioness, but she had been born a male and changed into a female. Naming her Freya III would be an affront to all the Freyas of their lineage. Taji also agrees that neither of Beno's cubs would make a good Freya. The sisters come to the terms that their next litter will be examined and of their cubs, they will vote to see who will inherit their mother's name. Koman gets pregnant in hopes that she'll be able to produce a better heir worthy of the name Freya. 10/5/2020: Koman's daughters lose the vote and thus do not earn the name Freya. Instead, Taji's firstborn daughter is chosen to carry on the name.
