Little Mimun inherits her small stature from her ancestor Kipepeo, and is the cub that the healers' family have been waiting for. Shisheeya cannot have cubs; yet is the most accomplished healer and Shaman the pride has ever seen, having inherited a build up of skills from an established line of Healers and Shamans.
She never speaks any louder than a hush, as though scared of her own voice and power.
"She was born in this most mystical month," Shisheeya ponders, watching her grow. She loves to spend time with her big uncle and his equal, the midwife Hannane, especially in the ancestral thicket, and they become impressed and a little scared by the skills she seemingly doesn't need to study for.
They vow to make sure she uses it for good; she loves to help her pridemates and anyone else who wanders by, and her mother is forever fretting about her coming to harm because of her trusting nature.
Very late in his life, finally, an heir is born, and her uncle and mentor Shisheeya blesses the little princess before admitting that he could, now, happily retire, as he has seen in a new generation of rulers. He insists that she should oversee the blessing as she is the one who will be the caretaker of the pride from here on in.
The pride is shocked but sense that he knows something - he can feel his time coming and he hands his position down to his niece and heir and happily retreats into his thicket after secretly blessing the pride once more. He asks the spirits to take good care of this pride that he adores so much.
"Mimun rolls on her back in front of your paws, inviting you for a gentle tussle."
