Koman joined Maji as a mentor to the two young males already within the pride. Throughout the year of training, he gained a close bond with Badru, who always listened thoughtfully to what he had to teach. Kijakazi was another story. The younger male was ornery, and didn't like to listen. But he was clever, and learned just as quickly as Badru. Later on, he mentored Duma and Kito, Maji's direct heirs born after the departures of both Badru and Kijakazi.
