Though she was never Bogani's favorite, she still held enough of his favor to gain a higher position among the lionesses of his pride. Biding her time, she ensured that her chosen son, Angmani, the firstborn male of Bogani, remained while others left or were driven out. With every intention to have her son made king, especially as Ilara could not seem to produce an heir, Jezebel simply waited. Not even the birth of Bongani from Ilara could deter her plans. When Bogani stepped down as king in his older age, desiring that his son take his place, Angmani was there when Bongani, the official chosen heir, was not yet old and strong enough to rule. With her son in charge, Jezebel still patiently waits, knowing that not all could go according to plan even now. Not while Bogani is still alive.
