Amidst the blooming of spring, Guardian Hayse of the Valley of Spectres had noticed for the first time in centuries, a mortal being from the outside world had crossed through her land. Guardian Hayse was a mere sprite, a macroscopic intensity of life and light, beaming brightly around her valley and caring for the living plants and innocent animals, protecting them all from the hungry spectres that forever haunt the valley. When the mortal being crossed through her valley, Queen Eri, she was already weak from months of travel and attacks by rogue lions, her weary soul was a perfect target for the hungry Spectres. Guardian Hayse had warned the beautiful queen, "Adventuring Queen, you must leave or your soul will be swallowed by the spectres of this valley!" The Queen was in need of rest and she was not afraid, she had lite magic of her own to fight the powers of blood thirsty phantoms. Guardian Hayse couldnt help but to be smitten by the stranger, spending every last moment with her. The Gaurdian Sprite Hayse was curios of the outside world, Queen Eri told her stories as the sprite healed her day by day. Queen Eri's magic was coming back quckly, but as her strength built - so did the insatiable thirst for her valuable soul. Just as the guardian sprite healed the new queen, the spectres attacked. The valley was left in demise and the spectres broke loose from their damnation. But the sprite guardian grew attached to her new friend, and used her light to emit against the hungry spectres to protect Eri. Hayse rid the spectres, but the valley was left barren, in which every living entity was swallowed by the phantoms in the process. Queen Eri owed her new friend her life. The young sprite had only two wishes, "Queen Eri, please free me from this form, as I have no valley to protect anymore... I wish to follow you on your adventures. I would always be your most loyal friend." Before they left the valley forever, Queen Eri granted the young sprites wish and incarnated Hayse into a beautiful Lioness. However, in the process of Guardian Hayse's transformation, a spectre had also incarnated - following them indefinitely.
