Shyama

Pulled from the Trading Center as an adolescent, Shyama came in like a bat out of hell. Never before had a lioness dared attack a submale of the pride, let alone Eleodoro, who - objectively - is one of the most gentle and level headed of the heirs. She was absolutely terrified, having already seen lions sold off to become breeding machines or sacrifices. She had no idea what her new “pride” intended to do with her, so she struck in advance, hard, and turned on Atilla when the far larger king intervened. Both males still bare those scars.
In her entry, Eleodoro saw her as what she was, which was a damn capable lioness. He took her under his wing and taught her the ins and outs of being an heir. He showed her how to harness her distrust and use it to both benefit and protect the pride. Rajani, one of the highest regarded lionesses in the pride, took notice of his efforts and offered her support; she taught Shyama how to project her physical power into her voice. This allowed her to listen and be listened to, while also commanding her respect.
She was a very eager student a quickly rose to become one of Atilla’s go-to’s for practically everything. Her critical thinking has helped shaped the pride into the best state it’s ever been in. From prey intake and herd guidance, to warding off things like hyenas and brotherhoods, she has proven herself a very capable leader. The pride has come to love her, and they appreciate her efforts more than she’ll ever truly know.
