"From the heavens, She descended to bring an age of peace and prosperity to a pride..."
So long as She lives, no misfortune or tragedy will befall the clan.
She shall be reborn, should we have luck on our side.
"You find Blessing carefully watching the ducks in the water. You ask her what she's doing. She tells you that she hunts the best if she knows the behavior of her prey. Smart...but couldn't she take a break? It's been hours!"
"Blessing approaches you with a detailed report on the pride's whereabouts the night before."

Blessing is a celestial being who fell from the heavens as punishment for her inability to stay out of terrestrial affairs. She was considered too kind-hearted by her people, and too empathetic to the simple lives the mortal beings below lived. However, she does not care. In fact, she thinks she's better off this way. Better to live a life of loving and being loved rather than one of being on constant guard and not trusting her peers.
Despite her enthusiasm for being free from the expectations of her society, she ha a bit of trouble adjusting to life on the mortal plane. She had already known that it was a struggle to survive, but she had severely underestimated the difficulty of living alone, even as a godly apex predator. From catching sustainable prey to finding decent shelter in harsh weather, it was terrible. The worst thing though was all of the gaudy males who attempted to claim or kill her.
They were too much like the lions from her home, foolishly arrogant and evil.
But unlike them, they stood no chance against her.
However, not everything was so bad. She was quite fond of the lionesses she would occasionally run into. Many were simply out hunting and would share whatever they had caught that day with her. Other times they would just chat and maybe even get friendly enough for a light grooming session before eventually parting ways.
Of course, there were always lionesses who would honest to the heavens, bring the worst out of her. Always with snarky remarks, trying to get a rise out of her by inquiring about her past. After all,
why would such a beautiful lioness such as herself, with a rich coat and opaque clay points, have gone for so long without a pride? Surely, there must be a reason for such a tragedy to occur. She nearly tore an eye out after a particularly harsh lioness tried to imply that the reason had something to do with her preference for lionesses.
In the end, however, she would always return to live all by her lonesome. No matter how much she enjoyed being with the other lionesses, they were part of a pride, and every pride is lead by a lion. As far as she knew, she would never be at peace living in a pride and following the orders of a lion. However, fate functions in ways no one, not even a former god, can expect.

The way they met wasn't particularly eventful. They just happened to pass by each other while exploring. She was ready to reject any advances or defend herself if necessary but something about him was... different. Upon closer inspection, he was rather plain. No overly abundant amount of markings, not covered in decorations that obscured his visage, he was rather ordinary. There was no reason to find anything worthwhile about him. He was just an average lion, but despite this, Blessing could feel something stirring within her heart.
They talked for a bit, and he made a few advances. She didn't mind them. He nuzzles into her neck, where a prominent scar lay. She didn't mind it. He asks her to join his pride. She simply says, "Yes."
