28.04.19 You were surprised to find Jasper sopping wet when you went to say hello. She had apparently heard leopards were decent at fishing, and she wanted to try it out.

A young leopon wandered a fair way from home. His short mane had only just started to grow out, and he still had yet to grow into his rather lanky body. The lion looking leopard was the butt of jokes with his littermates - pure lions. It wasn’t his fault his mother had decided to spend a little more time with a leopard than was healthy. It wasn’t his fault he got the short end of the stick and ended up looking like a half baked lion.
He couldn’t take it any longer and left. Long legs carried him far across the savannah, through marshland and over colossal dunes. He had been wearily wandering through tall grass, too tired to avoid the overwhelming scent of a lion pride. It didn’t avoid him though. An odd looking lion, not much younger than him, barrelled into him. The young lion had vicious, long curved fangs, a powerful body, and an oddly bobbed tail. He bore the beginnings of a mane, but it was more of two long tufts of fur off his cheeks. The leopon did not fight back. He was much weaker than any lion, let alone this ferocious looking creature.
The lion blathered on about a spire, or something, but the leopon slowly found fascination with him. His muscles, though young, were hardened no doubt by endless training, and he had an air of nobility to him. The lion carried himself like a king would. Like nothing could touch him. The leopon was enamoured, and grew flustered when the young lion’s voice finally broke through his thoughts. Keeping his gaze low he explained that he came from afar, and was the undesirable offspring of a leopard and lioness. It didn’t seem to bother the sabre toothed lion though, who introduced himself as Dialga. There was something powerful about that name...
The leopon stumbled over his words as he introduced himself as Jasper. Meek Jasper who ran from his problems. Dialga comforted him, telling Jasper that he was different too. The lions in his pride didn’t have stubby tails, or long fangs and tufted manes. Feeling a bit better, Jasper thanked Dialga. Dialga informed him that he should stay out of sight, lest the king of his pride get hold of Jasper - he would be slaughtered on the spot. Not wanting to let his new friendship go, though, Jasper asked Dialga to meet him again some time. He liked talking to this other odd feline.
Their meetings grew frequent, Dialga slipping away from his pride more and more to meet his strange friend. He couldn’t fight the odd feelings he got, and often would find Jasper running through his mind in that clumsy, cute way with his tail streaming out behind him, sharp silver claws churning up the dirt as they raced...He didn’t know that Jasper felt the same way, being a thick headed male, but relished the leopon’s rather...physical ways.
One meeting a fully grown Dialga came bearing news: he had challenged the cruel king for leadership of the pride and won. Jasper licked his healing wounds, the two twined together in each other as they fell asleep in the others’ paws. The next morning Dialga offered Jasper a place in his pride. A safe haven, where everyone looked after each other. Unsure at first, Dialga convinced him to at least spend the night with his new pride. Jasper agreed.
The lionesses were fascinated by him, looking over every hair on his body. Many seemed rather...interested in him, and he wasn’t sure how to feel. He didn’t want to be like his parents, sneaking off and producing horrible hybrids that belonged to neither species. Besides, his heart was set on a different feline.
Unable to sleep that night, Jasper slipped away to think. Dialga noticed and followed. He sat with Jasper, comforting him as he spilled his worries. He couldn’t stop himself confessing how he felt for Dialga ever since his initial shock had faded. Cheery as always, Dialga’s response was purely physical. The two shared a long intimate, amorous night. Jasper would be safe so long as Dialga was around.
