Crown Prince Khachiun was wed to Princess Jaehaera of the Crownlands in 22 HC and a year later, Jaehaera gave birth to the twin princess, Buudan and Khojin. Unbeknownst to everyone in the kingdom except Jaehaera, these cubs may not have Khachiun as a father as Jaehaera resented her husband's cold treatment of her and found solace in liasons with other males. Jaehaera kept her pregnancy secret, feigning sickness so that when she retreated into seclusion, people would not bother her too much--she had already made up her mind that if any of the cubs looked nothing like her or her husband, she would smother them and dispose of them discreetly in order to protect her secret.

Fortunately, to Jaehaera's relief, both princesses looked similar to her, and even then, seeing that leopons were rare, many were unsure of how appearances passed from parent to child. Princess Buudan inherited mottled spots, either from her unknown father or her maternal grandmother, Rhaenyra, and Princess Khojin was almost a spitting image of her mother, except for her slightly darker-toned colors. The birth of the twin cubs were celebrated and they were presented as royal princesses to the Bastion, daughters to Crown Prince Khachiun.

Princess Khojin's unique heritage drew her the attention of the entire kingdom and the wily young cub, instructed by her mother, was quick to use that to her advantage. This attention drew the resentment of her twin sister Buudan and a rift began to form between the two sisters. Eventually, Jaehaera, ever the creature for advancing the fortunes of her family, had Buudan moved to her parents' kingdom to be raised under the care of Queen Rhaenyra.

In 25 HC, Khojin was wed to a foreign king as an ambassador-bride to secure relationship between the two kingdoms. She gave birth to the Princess Verdandi. Her next pregnancy in 28 HC was a single daughter with rosettes she named Brynhildr.
