Sabah

Born to King Feu, the king before King Arbar, Sabah is a strangely long-lived and youthful lioness. She has outlived all of those who saw her father's reign, and appears younger than some under Queen Latona's reign today.

Despite this, the lions of the Allamubarak Pride recognize Sabah as a benevolent and kind pridemember. A compassionate and hardworking lioness, she does well to dispel any concerns others may have over her strange longevity. She is seen as a constant in the pride, a dependable certainty as opposed to Ketri's scant and uncomfortable presence.

Unknown to her pridemates, Sabah's long life comes from an ethereal lover. Azraq and Sabah met when King Feu was still alive, a few years before madness overtook him. It was during the time which the veil between this world and the world of the ancestors' becomes thin; Azraq became mystified with the beautiful lioness, and Sabah was equally entranced by her ghostly admirer.

The thing Azraq loved most about Sabah was her love of life. Azraq enjoyed nothing more than to watch her beloved admire the beauty of the world, to laugh with her friends, to revel in the thrill of the hunt. In the darkest, most uncertain nights, Sabah would lie next of Azraq's glowing shape and whisper to her about how much she feared dying. She loved Azraq, and couldn't wait for the day that they could adventure the celestial plane together, but feared leaving behind her earthly vessel. When she died, she would never again feel the warmth of the sun on her fur, the softness of the grass under her paw, or the silky whisper of Azraq's spirit at her side. How could she have all that taken from her?

So, Azraq decided to give her a choice in the matter. Azraq can't extend Sabah's life forever, but she does what she can. When Sabah decides she's ready to move on, Azraq will welcome her warmly and show her all there is to experience about life after death.

Instead of relaxing today like Grandpaw King Feu had promised you, you spot him running circles around Sabah, taunting his grandcub every time they almost get him.

You cheerfully greet Sabah and she huffs a bit. She wants to know where you were yesterday. Apparently she looked everywhere!

Roaring your name, Sabah approaches you asking why didn't you come earlier, she's been waiting the whole morning!
