daughter of murkcloud, from a litter she had with a neighboring king; after discovering that the cubs took after their father's good nature despite her attempts to train them as cold-hearted pawns, murk has disowned them. spider is a camp guard and often takes the night shift as it favors her dark pelt. however, she sometimes leaves gets lonely and leaves her post in favor of curling up with her clanmates. spider wonders if she's made a mistake by training as a guard -- the clan was in dire need of them, but at the same time, she has a high need for physical affection and it's not as if she gets much of it when she's sitting alone, keeping an eye out for danger.

the most skittish of the siblings, afraid of the conflict w/ thrushflame and takes a backseat role to protect the cubs instead of fighting alongside thistlebranch
