While laying by the pond, a fattail scorpion suddenly skitters past your paw, making you jump a bit. You gently pull your paw away and watch the creature in confusion. The pond itself is a distance from the shrublands and desert. Perhaps not a terribly far walk for a lion, but certainly a far away land for a tiny scorpion. You notice a few small baby scorpions clinging to the creatures back, and you lean your head back, trying to decide if pregnant scorpions seek out water. When you look back to check on her, the scorpion seems to be gone. You feel as though you should worry where she's gone, but you feel a sense of calm and peace brush over you.
Here lies Abianne. A whisper of the past.

Abianne, tired broodmother of the Placid Pond Pride
Under the rule of King Callius
Abianne was always one of the best broodmothers in the pride, and she wasn't about to leave her post when the new king arrived. Not even after he managed to kill several cubs, though they did fight him tooth and nails. She would never blame the cubs for the sins of their father, nor let that tragedy happen again to the lionesses. It was disheartening discovering that they would need to protect even his own children from the gruesome new king, but the broodmothers always did their best.
Intro under Callius
When you enter the cave, you notice an older, pure white lioness laying along the back wall of the cave. She focuses on you the moment you walk in, and she continues to watch you as you walk around. You can feel her intense gaze boring into you, until you hesitantly approach her, and ask her if there's a problem. "It is my job to keep the cubs safe." She explains, still watching you closely. You quickly promise not to hurt the cubs, which does seem to relax her. "I'm going to keep an eye on you." She explains simply, and then glances over the cubs, before looking back at you. She doesn't seem interested in discussing this further, so you wander off to meet other lionesses, carefully avoiding the cubs.

Abianne the warm, Head Broodmother of the Placid Pond Pride
Under the rule of King Mercutial
Abianne was born in the pride, as a strangely white and sensitive cub. As her mother was Sumatra, deemed queen of the pride by many, Abianne was sometimes called the princess of the pride when she was little. Burned easily by the harsh sun, Abianne was limited to the caves during the day and only allowed out in the evenings, and her title of princess seemed to drift away as she became older, and some of the lionesses seemed to forget about her.
Spending a lot of her time indoors, it made the most sense for Abianne to become a broodmother. A warm and kind lioness, she was good with the cubs, as well as the other broodmothers, and was quickly put in charge of the nursery cave. Her mother couldn't be more proud of her accomplishments, and though she seems to live in the shadows, Abianne is quite content with her life and takes her important role of cub safety and survival, very seriously.
Intro under Mercutial
As you enter the cave, a lioness white as snow from head to toe approaches you. She hesitantly sniffs you as she circles you and examines you. "What are you here for?" She asks in a low voice, and you quickly explain that you are a guest, just visiting. The lioness seems to relax a little. "You pose no threat to the cubs then?" You reassure her that you mean neither her or the cubs any harm. "Alright then." The lioness nods and sits down beside you, smiling a little. "I'm in charge of this cave, and these cubs. You can't be too careful." Knowing the trouble some of your own cubs get into, you can't help but agree.

Getting to know Abianne
What is your favourite food?
"Mm, I love a good blesbok when they manage to bring one back. They're just so flavourful!"
What is your favourite item for amusement?
"Oh, huh. Well I guess feathers are fun to tickle the cubs with. Most of my play time is with cubs you see. My favourite would be a vulturine guineafowl feather, I guess. They're so pretty."
What's your favourite season?
"Obviously, the wet season. It's just so much easier to raise cubs in the wet season. More food for them to eat, blooming plants to hide them in, and sometimes the dry season gets too hot for them."
What's your favourite time of day?
"Actually, I prefer the night. I'm an albino you see, so I burn easily in sunlight. The night is also quite peaceful, and I love a nice walk along the water's edge... watching all the night creatures start to wake up."
Which biome do you enjoy the most?
"Well, I don't go there very often, but I've always enjoyed jungles. They have such good coverage, and they're so thick and lush! Bursting with life too. My mother used to take me on adventures to jungles when I was younger."
Which lion are you closest to?
"Well, I'm not really close to any of the lions. I spend all my time with cubs and the other broodmothers. I guess if I had to pick, it'd be Mercutial. He comes to check on us often."
Which lioness are you closest to?
"Close to? I don't know. Marra, and I spend a lot of time together I suppose, and I was always quite close with my mother."
What are your hobbies?
"I don't really have time for hobbies. I spend most of my time making sure the cave is safe, and my free time playing with the cubs. I suppose my evenings are sometimes mine. After patrolling around the cave to make sure it's safe, I often like to go on walks, if that counts as a hobby."

Special Notes: I bred Abianne before my hiatus, and at first thought she was probably rare, being an albino. When I understood the game more, I learned it was just a coat colour, but I still enjoy her stark whiteness, and I love the invisible blaze marking she has.
