Painted Shadow

You were pacing back and forth, frustrated at losing to a puny hyena earlier. Suddenly Painted Shadow comes up to you, and softly tells you that no one is thinking badly of you for it. She soothingly kneads your mane.
Painted Shadow is lying on a nearby rock and gets up from it to greet you.
You find Painted Shadow on an outcropping observing some other lions playing below with a gentle smile.

Painted Shadow felt like a disappointment from when she was born; her parents were both powerful primal lions, but she was one of average strength. Her mother, Eagle Tooth, gave her to the broodmothers right away, but she did come around a bit to judge her strength. She stopped paying attention to her when it was decided she would become a huntress rather than a defender.
Her friends, Iridescent Storm, Volcanic Sapphire, and Blooming Nightshade, kept her company though. She spent a lot of time with the latter as they trained together, and despite her calm nature, she was often roped into Blooming Nightshade's mischievous antics. During her free time she would gossip with her two defender friends, but at night she would always seem to be coaxed into sneaking off.
When her and Blooming Nightshade became adults, she was surprised when her best friend admitted to having romantic feelings for her, and she realized she felt the same way. She's gotten her girlfriend to cut back on the meaner pranks, preferring to spend time cuddling instead.
She is very close to her daughter, Hyena Fang, and preferred to spend time raising her with Blooming Nightshade by her side rather than sending her to the broodmothers. Even as the cub grew to become a powerful defender for the pride, Painted Shadow kept their family close.
