When you greet her, | Kigeni | smacks you with her tail as she turns around to take care of her own damn business.
You come up to | Kigeni | and hear her talking about escape plans to another pride mate. As you approach, she suddenly gets quiet and looks a bit guilty. Perhaps some extra patrolling is in order tonight.

Kigeni's mother was a lovely female who had a great relationship with her king. She always doted on him and produced many cubs for him. There was however one issue, she was a tigon, her king a normal lion. She always felt out of place and although her king told her otherwise, she always felt as if she didn't belong. The other members in her pride had a mix of jealousy and endearment for her, finding her beautiful and kind. They were envious of her, but couldn't be mean to her. On one rainy morning she took a long, lone walk through the pride's territory. It was spring time, and the lands were coming alive with both flora and fauna. She took slow easy steps, letting her worries run off with the raindrops that fell to her fur. She found solace walking beneath the grayed skies, budding greens and darkening reds at her feet.
A chuffing sound made her stop in her tracks. A soft sound, no malice. She looked around, a large head coming out of the brush followed by a strong body the color of snow with dark rosette's spotting the tiger's sides. She only knew him to be a tiger from his build and his rounded head and ears. Though his coloring and lack of stripes might've told her he wasn't any normal tiger. He purred to her, she purred back. There was something odd about him, but she paid no mind. He was beautiful, almost glowing a soft light in the soft light of a covered sun. The events to come that morning were gentle, and she headed back to her pride's den with a soft smile and calm to her mind. A couple months later she birthed a cub that was like her, with the gorgeous coat of the baby girl's actual father. The king non the wiser, simply overjoyed for her mother to have another of her own kind within the pride.
The cub grew quickly, with little health issues as the other cubs did. Spring came and went and soon sunny skies returned to the lands with summer's heat. The succulents around the pride's den bloomed gorgeous flowers and the wildflowers spread by birds bloomed all the same. It was on a day where the pride was out hunting, and Kigeni left to her own devices had she explored a small oasis that she hadn't explored before. It was hear that she was approached by the snowy, rosette spotted tiger. The tiger nuzzled her, Kigeni finding a familiarity with the tiger and had no fears as she spoke and played with the tiger. In the coming months her growth would slow the more times she would visit with the tiger, not telling another soul where she sometimes disappeared to. It was on her first birthday that the tiger told her of who he was, her father, and what he was. A corporeal being, in which he bestowed upon her the gift of immortality. Her body to never age, but her mind left to grow. Kigeni was frightened of this gift and ran away from the tiger, and the pride. Finding her new found immortality impossible to explain. She found another pride after a year of wandering that also had gifted lions, and there she stayed.

Blinking.
Light.
Green.
red.
Kigeni stretched her glossy white fur, as soon as she awoke, she knew today was not going to end well. The foliage that had covered her as she slept was now wilting and no longer the bright green it was.
Her cave, along with many other caves were being used to house the wounded soldiers of the war. Their grave injuries though not life threatening, were indeed painful. Giving a quick shake she padded off to access the damage that the night’s battles had brung.
The camp was a large clearing encased by foliage and the deep jungle, a place where no leopon could sniff out. Numerous caves and logs made up homes for the various residents; usually a charming place, was now a zone of fear and battle torn warriors.
“Kigeni!” Kigeni turned around to see Kavayla bounding towards her, the large glossy she-tiger was the pride’s best warrior, unadorned with the fierce temperament of a soldier, and the scars to go with it.
“Kav! I’m so glad you're safe.” Kigeni purred back, giving a small affectionate nudge. “What happened on the field? The camp is practically ransacked with bodies!”
Kav looked away, almost embarradely. “We were ambushed, the leopons caught us on our own land and took out half the team within minutes.” There was hurt in her voice, but also anger. Kigeni observed Kav, she saw the same fear of death that had brought them together, but the stance of the muscular gon stood strong. “Tomorrow we’re going to launch another raid, this time we’ll send scouts ahead to make sure no ambush will befall us.
“Kav.. Most of these warriors aren’t even strong enough to stand.”
“I know.”
“Kav…”
“Kigeni, it's alright, we’ll make sure to defeat them, we’ll strike so hard that not even their immortality can save them.” She gently bumped her head with Kigeni’s, a promise of safety. “I need to go… The troops are assembling for training.” And with that she was gone. Kigeni sighed, the tigons were losing the effort, and it seemed that wasn’t going to change.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
“KAVAYLA” Kigeni cried out.
The battle had been a loss.
Warriors were splayn across the field, blood turning the grass red.
Where was Kav? Where was she? She wouldn’t have run away, not with her warriors losing the effort. Kigeni made her way down to the previous front, the leopons had since moved on and the place was sterile with death.
“KAVAYLA” Kigeni cried out once more, hoping that the tigon would magically bound out of a bush. But she knew that wouldn’t happen, she knew what the worst option could be. She loped around the ground, warriors both leopon and tigon laid sprawled on the ground, gashes tearing at their sensitive throats and skin.
Each corpse she passed, made her more hopeless.
Until she found her
Kavalya
The once majestic and muscular tigon now lay on the ground. Her brown coat was mottled with blood and insects. Her eyes, staring, but not seeing. The once fierce snarl of Kavalya’s muzzle was now open, blood pouring out of it like a river. Kigeni crumbled down to the floor, who would’ve ever struck down such a wonderful lion, a fierce fighter. Wrapping her body around Kav, she did what she could.
She waited.

A ringing filled her ears.
Smell? Yes, the smell of wet leaves.
There's more-
Blood
Old tainted blood.
Kav leaped from her hypnotic sleep, her body resisting the sudden movements after laying stiff for days. Where was she? Looking around Kav tried to remember what had happened before she blacked out. It was all so fuzzy, she wasn’t sure if what she could recall was a dream or a dizzying memory.
Fur.
Winding around, Kav saw something she could remember, soft white fur; mottled with faded brown markings. “Kigeni! What happened?” The she-tiger questioned the small tigon. The response she got was not what she had expected.
“Oh kav! You're finally awake, I was so worried for you.” Tears rolled down the little tigon’s face, she clutched onto Kav’s aching body, holding on so tight that Kav could feel her claws digging in.
“What do you mean?” She questioned what had happened to make Kigeni act like a clingy kitten after nursing. Kigeni momentarily stopped her tears and looked into Kav’s eyes, seeming to finally realize something.
“Of course you wouldn’t remember, how silly of me.” Kigeni let out a small chuckle amidst her tears. “Kav, you died.” She watched carefully, hoping that Kav wouldn’t freak out or run away, not when she had finally gotten her back.
How.. how was this possible? Kav’s head couldn’t process it all, she was dead? But she's not dead, she's alive, and hurting too! For a couple of seconds the best reaction she could give was a simple blink of her eyes and a nod. Her life’s entire fear had become real, yet she was not scared, she was… happy… happy to be with Kigeni.
She chose not to speak. She couldn’t, it was too much for her. Instead she crouched down and exposed her soft belly to Kigeni with the domestication of a house cat.
“Kigeni, I.. I just wanna be with you.” Her eyes pleaded with Kigeni, she watched and waited for the tigon to embrace her, to show her the same vulnerability she did.
And Kigeni did.
She softly clambered onto Kav’s exposed belly, the soft underfur was cream in color, with the texture of mink fur. It was nice having Kav all to herself. Laying her head down on the chest of the she-gon, kigeni could hear her heartbeat, very much alive. Thump --- thump -- thump - thump. With a purr, kigeni closed her eyes, letting the rhythm of her friend, no, lover, sink in. The lovely sound that she never wanted to stop hearing.
Kav wanted to say something, but she couldn't, she couldn't ruin this special moment between them. Her cheeks felt flushed as Kigeni lay on her, so vulnerable and soft, such a special feeling. For a moment, Kav’s emotions flashed with the thought of someone hurting her, and her claws tightened within her paws, that could never happen. Kigeni was hers, and she will never stop protecting her.
For as long as she lives.

She was not a big fan of this odd silence in the forest she slinked through, her body close to the ground. The orange stripes across her form didn't help hide her in the evening light, compared to her dark fur and rosettes. Hopefully nothing came across her too easily. With the war going on between Tigons and Leopons, Kavayla had been ever so cautious about where she went and how she did things, especially when it came down to Kigeni.
Kavayla's thoughts briefly distracted her in thinking about her beloved. She was not aware of a silvery form that shot out of the trees almost behind her, claws and sharp teeth bared. Kavayla screeched, although this sound was cut off as the stranger dug into her fur and throat, bringing her down so easily as the Tigon lashed out, trying to make contact with whatever was, frankly, slowly killing her right now.
She thrashed and tried to force this creature off, rage bringing her to more or less not see as Kav struggled, yet her body slowly collapsed against her will, somewhat twitching. Whatever it was knew their power and was simply gone before she could get a glimpse.

"Kigeni, there's a Tigon up here. May you check it, please?"
The auburn flecked female stepped past the patrol leader, giving a nod in reply. As she made her way closer to the body in the dust, ebony-colored rosettes and ginger stripes stood out to her against velvety, dark fur. Kigeni froze in horror, delicate paws taking a couple steps back as a wail of fear and hurt echoed from her throat. Kavayla.
"No, no! This is impossible! She... she cannot be dead..."
The Tigon sobbed, sinking to the dirt path and crawling forward, nose nudging desperately at the limp form of her partner. Under her breath she muttered Kav's name, absolutely refusing to believe she was gone, just like that.
"One of you. Take Kigeni back and keep her consoled. We must take Kavayla back to camp and prepare."
Kigeni's draconic eyes narrowed, turning her head to stare down the leader.
"She can't be... She's got to be asleep, right?"

"You did wonderful. Certainly have proven your worth to the battalion of the Leopons, Jaspe."
Her praise rung in his head as he walked alongside another silvery form, that of a teammate. The other, Elijah, was rather silent as they continued their hunt, more or less seeking out places that Tigons used as hiding spots, any stragglers of their enemies.
"I think the Queen likes me. I'm a special one, huh, Eli. C'mon, ain't I?"
"Boasting about praise from the Queen doesn't necessarily make you special, Jaspe. It means she is proud of your hard work."
Elijah's head turned, pink eyes looking over the lithe, brutal male at his side. They walked in step, trained in doing so to avoid tripping over each other in a moment of need.
"Come on, Eli. You know she's definitely loving me for how good I am."
Jaspe grunted as he was headbutted in the chest, scowling at the other who had a smirk on his slim, scarred face. He shook his head and continued to walk, only to halt and step back, claws digging into the dirt briefly.
"What do we have here, hmm? Wifey of that stupid, dead Tigon and her new lady friend?"
Ahead of him, Kigeni stood, bristling in anger as she was partially blocked by a dark red form, who's stormy blue eyes were locked on the Leopons.
"You killed her? What a disgrace, killing a lady in her own territory."
The larger Tigon scoffed, thick tail flicking across the pale shoulders of her ally.
"I do what I must, darling."
That was all it took. Kigeni forced Erau out of her way, paws thudding against the path as she launched herself at Jaspe's face, clawing viciously and rapidly in an attempt to take him down or blind the Leopon. To the side, Jaspe's teammate was simply taunting, being bowled to the ground by a quick movement. Beneath Kigeni's paws, the Leopon thrashed and headbutted at her stomach, forcing her off with a snarl, not getting far as fury took over Kigeni and she lashed for his throat - nowhere near hesitating from the quiet and innocent
personality she held before the death of Kavayla. Claws made contact and she pushed forward, relying entirely on brute force and her rage to take him down. She didn't care who he was, who she was, all she wanted was revenge.
"Kigeni, stop!"
Narrowed eyes flickered, and her head turned towards Erau. The Tigon had Elijah pinned, who stared at Jaspe's unmoving form in shock. She lowered her draconic gaze, her white fur bloodied and paws tufted with silvery fur that had been torn from Jaspe's body. What did she just do?
"Damn it, Kigeni! You killed him!"
Erau stepped off and Elijah eased to his feet and fled, raising his voice with each step as he called for help. Dark eyes met angered yellow, and the female hung her head, letting out a heavy sigh.
"He. Deserved. It."
